Biodiesel gas station in Denver
Biodiesel is not available to many potential users in Denver. The
number of gas stations is very limited, and most people that have
diesel vehicles have to go out of their way to find a biodiesel station.
Paradigm is working with independent gas stations in the south metro
Denver area to establish one or several commercial pumps to serve the
public’s demand for biodiesel.

Biodiesel
endorsed by Colorado as an “Alternative Fuel”
The
Colorado Department of Revenue does not currently recognize biodiesel
as an alternative fuel, although it meets the requirements of an
alternative fuel by state law. Already recognized alternative fuels,
such as ethanol, CNG, LNG, and hybrids, are eligible for state tax
breaks and other government benefits and protections.
Paradigm
is working with the Colorado Air Quality Control Commission and the
Colorado Department of Revenue to recognize biodiesel as an alternative
fuel officially. Once completed, gas stations that install biodiesel
pumps and distribution will be able to recoup up to 62.5% of the
conversion cost as a tax credit, and consumers who buy biodiesel will
receive the tax credits already available for other Renewable Fuels.
This will also pave the way for future governmental promotion of
biodiesel.
